Interview with the Hudes Tarot

Note: I have decided to create a smaller 'interview' spread to use. That other one I used in the past interviews is nice, but I can never really remember the positions and it's way too big for my tastes. So, from now one I am using a shorter, straightforward version of the spread.

I never really expected to like the Hudes Tarot... it's the kind of deck that never belonged in my wishlist, and I never even looked at the scans. I was barely aware of its existence. But when Tarot Bonkers offered a trimmed copy of this deck on AT for free, I knew I had to get it.  Because I didn't know it -- and I was dying for something new, unexpected and trimmed.

As soon as I received the deck, I was surprised by my own reaction to it. I liked it. I didn't find it 'right', 'appropriate', 'beautiful'... nothing like that, I simply liked it. A very pure and spontaneous feeling. But I was using the Grail Tarot exclusively back then, so I decided to save this deck for later.

And now the time to give it the attention it deserves has arrived.

1. Why have you crossed my path? ~ Ace of Swords

I am here to help you to deal with your pain and conflicts, showing you how to cut away what is no longer useful and what is harming you. The old branches must be pruned so the plant can regain its strength and beauty.

2. What are your best qualities? ~ King of Swords
I can show the many sides of a problem, and I can help you to start facing your questions in a more rational and straightforward way. I am very good for readings concerning decisions and choices. I am very diplomatic in my way of delivering messages, but never false.

3. What are your most negative characteristics? ~ Seven of Cups
Perhaps my very ability of expressing the different sides of a question will make the readings a bit confusing sometimes. Some aspects of me may be considered a bit 'boring' or 'vague' when compared to other decks.My messages may stimulate you to think and meditate more than to act, which isn't always good.

4. How will be our journey together? ~ Three of Pentacles
We will learn a lot together! I'll help you to hone your tarot reading skills, and maybe even gain a new love for it. I think we will work very well together, because you'll enjoy working with me. Something about me caught your attention in a way other decks didn't.
(Obs. My reason for interpreting the card this way is because, for some weird reason, I found the guy in the Three of Pentacles very... sexy... for a fictional tarot paper man, of course. Bizarre, uh? I must be more desperate than I thought!)
